Previously released as an EP in 2003, it got re-released in 2005 as a full album that i am holding in my hand...This is one of the most original band i came across, providing me an enriching experience in my entire career as i am currently working on their logo. You can see three Bilocate logos on my gallery now. Go to that song "Days Of Joy"...or "Second War IN Heaven"...and you will understand what i am talking about.

Slowly but steadily we receive releases from some let's say not so metal countries. This time was the turn for Bilocate who comes from Jordan. Recently they released their latest self financed album with the title "Dysphoria". In this album the band includes eight tracks and more than an hour of pure doom / death metal music. So first of all you will see that the band had written some "big" compositions.

Imagine that we have tracks from four minutes and the band close ...

Out of Jordan comes this Progressive Death/Doom Metal band. The music is towards the slightly melodic, with some heavier parts. Some traces of My Dying Bride can be found here, but this is more melodic than that. This is actually musically rather towards Arcturus later works and Green Carnation. I also hear some early Ulver in the clean sung passages here, reminiscent of their Bergtatt and Kveldssanger albums, which is most refreshing.

The vocals are towards the My Dying Bride kind, with ...

Dysphoria (2005) Review

By Metalpedia - 12/08/2006

4 out of 5 Evil Faces

Bilocate - Dysphoria

Okay this is a band that I had never heard until they contacted me wanting to get there CD reviewed.

I am slow sometimes, but I always get around to accomplishing what I need to do at some point.

Anyway I am glad they contacted me. This is a pretty good CD. The style is not what I was expecting. I expected typical metal.

This is a mixture of rough/raw black metal and atmospheric/ambient ...
